The Bridges of New York - Bishop Costantino home is a residential rehabilitation center for alcoholism and drug dependency. The residential program's directive is restoring each client to the highest possible level of spiritual, physical, emotional and social health.
The Bishop Costantino Home consists of multiple programs to accommodate the client's needs; specifically those related to their history with substance abuse. The program provides assistance to clients with a history of substance abuse problems and/or drug related crimes. The treatment is based on a thorough assessment that identifies the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of each client, followed by an individualized treatment plan to:
Interrupt and inactivate the destructive dependence on chemicals; Initiate rehabilitation of all related physical, mental spiritual, and social damage; and Develop and implement with the client a long-term plan of recovery, utilizing professional counseling and self-help groups such as Overcomers, AA, NA, and CA. The Bishop Costantino Home's treatment is provided by credentialed professionals who are experienced in substance abuse treatment.
Each staff member acts as a role model to initiate the process that will bring about the changes necessary in breaking the addictive cycle.
The program hosts a mixed population of male clients and offers the opportunity for each one to meet Christ and enter into the body of Christ, if they so choose. Bridges of New York's services also include educational classes, speakers, job search workshops, participation in community activities, and referral information. Counselors are available for consultation with employers, courts, schools, physicians, and for family-related matters.
There are many ways you can get involved. Cooking a meal any night of the week for the clients. Becoming a mentor for a client and helping them navigate the system. Speak at our Wednesday night meeting about your recovery or doing repair work around the home. Bridges is also a non for profit and monetary donations, food donations and gift guards help tremendously with offsetting the enormous cost involved in saving a life.
